Yes, we find aircon cheaper than heaters plus obviously it cools in summer. Sydney isn't as consistently hot as other places especially if you live in the eastern half of the city but the humidity is miserable in summer. It's currently about 12 degrees here though. And not much warmer inside...

We had a really nice 11th anniversary dinner last night. Went to a local "fancy" pizza place and the food was delicious. It was nice doing the anniversary thing as a family for a change, especially now that Rowan can sit down for a civilised meal. 😂

I agree with others, I think Labs are the easier dog once they mature and are over being teenage hooligans. They are calm and steady (mostly) and have an easy care coat that mostly repels dirt (I imagine cockers trap a lot more dirt and leaves, burrs etc). The cockers I've met are mostly lovely...

That said, the more I've learnt about Ahmad al Ahmad the more amazed I am by his heroism. He's a Syrian Muslim and from what I've read a refugee. He was unarmed. A regular dad with young kids. What a hero and Good Person. I hope people don't forget that in all this.
