It's a fact. Sadly he is getting old.
We were at the emergency vet early this morning, he was in terrible pain and crying constantly. For such a stoic dog this is not good. After a rather unsatisfactory (and expensive..) consult at our local hospital, Casper had an injection and pain meds to go home with. On top of this pain, which is likely due to some sort of spasm, a more worrying issue though is the fact he has enlarged lymph nodes, sub mandibular and clavicle. This is really not good.
He booked in with his own ( personal ) vet Kate later this week for more investigations.
He is better, although obviously not right. He is eating, but I don't think much would affect that really.
