The weather was awful but it didn't dampen our spirits ! We stayed in Riverside Cottage , Malmsmead , Exmoor , booked via a website called The Best of Exmoor . The cottage was lovely , very old but renovated beautifully , well equipped and comfortable . Dogs are welcome , walks abundant right from the door ! The cottage sits in a wonderful garden area leading to the river Oare , the garden is shared with the pub next door but the pub is not open in the evening , so after about 5.p.m. , the garden is yours ! The river is crossed by an ancient bridge or, for the brave, just drive through the water ! Remember though that this cottage is isolated , so make sure you take a day or two provisions with you , we will go again one day x
