Well, yes, but I do wonder if tracking/man trailing would suit her even better.Sounds as if you've found an ideal activity for Cassie.
It's true she loves the looking for stuff , it became evident in gun dog training.

Yes, I think they are, it has much to recommend it , it's not weather dependent and all dogs can do it! I think it would be ideal for an older dog with mobility issues.Scent classes seem to be the new in thing and I am so envious, would have loved to have done that. So pleased both you and Cassie love it. My neighbour does it with her new dog, but has to travel fair distances.
Are there any classes for tracking/ man trailing anywhere near you?Well, yes, but I do wonder if tracking/man trailing would suit her even better.

More than once I have seen her watch a pheasant take off 50/60 yards ahead, only to get her nose down and track it from where she is, even though she knows it's gone !
those indications are fantastic! Lovely video, thanks Kate. Kipper would love this when he’s fitter - it looks like UK Sniffer Dogs are worth checking out for us.I have just finished teaching a 6 week Bronze level course, we had a partially sighted collie, and a reactive dalmation. Actually we had two dalmations and they were an absolute riot!
Edited to add link...
Bless herwe weren't all done and she knew it
Sometimes I think she's nothing but a nose on legsHow clever of Cassie to know the scent was still there.
