What made you smile today?

After Christmas I must take her up when it quiet and the receptionists may give her a treat.
Yes, maybe check with the receptionists before you go and ask them to be ready with the treats?!

My local vets have moved to new premises which they’ve had specially adapted to include some individual bays in the waiting area, as well as a communal area. Nervous animals or those which need their own space can therefore wait where they can’t see other animals. So far, Tuppy and I have waited in the communal area, as she doesn’t mind other dogs - and I hope she might be inspired by some of those who are waiting calmly!

Individual bays sounds an excellent idea. Well done Tuppy for not needing one. It would be perfect for Flicka x

Well done Tuppy. Rourke loved the vets but Flicka is terrified of the other dogs in the waiting room. After Christmas I must take her up when it is quiet and the receptionists may give her a treat.
When we take Ella to the vet, we wait in the car and the vet calls when it's clear and ready for us. Then we walk straight in, pop on the scales and go into the room. It's by far the best option for us.

Yep, Cass does the same about the Yumove tablets she started on recently. 2 days in she instantly recognised the sound of the packet opening from another room. I mean for goodness sake ...... how exciting can they be?:rolleyes:

I went to take a paracetamol a couple of days ago and she was there - right by my side expecting to have one.
Do I starve her or something?
Chewie rushes to the kitchen for his Gabapentin because I stick the capsule in a blob of peanut butter! Gabapentin!

Having lunch out today with 2 of my favourite people who were the best of colleagues years back, in the best of district nursing teams in the best of locations
We weathered a few storms together both professional and personal and had so much to talk about today, recalling some of the more eccentric patients and places we visited.
Such happy days in my working life, so lucky to have had them.

That’s so nice, have a wonderful visit and have fun reminiscing! The friendships we build through work are irreplaceable, the bond we create during the hard days, the good days and everything in between. Mine know the second I walk through the door if something is wrong and I wouldn’t trade them for anything

OH just sent me this photo of Ella at the beach today. He described that she was "a complete nutter", did zoomies mutiple times and charged up to a couple and leapt around them like a small puppy 🤦

Thankfully, they apparently found her delightful and spent ages giving her lots of attention and playing with her (oh dear - how's that reward for her efforts 🙄🤦😆).

Can't wait to see my crazy girl next week 😍

Started walking a new dog a couple of weeks ago and she's been really shy and nervous around us and the other dogs... well, today she had come completely out of her shell and was so good. Made me smile to see her starting to get comfortable with us 🥰

What an adorable dog. Do you know why she was so nervous?
