In the (expected) absence of anything Valentine ish, or anything special to do today, GGJ and I have decided that today is Labradors' Day.
We started with an appropriate song ( apologies to Hart and Rodgers)
My funny Labrador,
Sweet comic Labrador
You make me smile with my heart.
So often laughable
And photographable
You are my favourite work of art.
With your fur shiny and sleek
Though sometimes a little meek
When into your eyes I peek, what a spark!
Please, don't shed much hair for me,
Not if you care for me,
Sit, little Labrador, stay,
Each day is Labrador's day.
Whilst composing this we had a good walk with nothing scary happening, through the woods and up onto the moor, stopping for a ball game on the way. Home now, Joy has had a couple of chews and is asleep on her landing bed. Today the bed I ordered for Tess is due to arrive so Joy can try that out and keep it if she likes it. Then tonight it's Fireinametalbox, candles, Kong and fillet steak! I bought a piece that's a bit too big for me, so she can have some too. It's turning into a Veryvery happy Labradors' day!
