Your dogs favourite walk is ...

My dogs favourite walk? Anywhere there are pheasants to find!

I guess if she had to pick one it would be our "village" walk. A mixture of arable ground, orchard (apples !!), root crops not yet eaten by sheep meaning plenty of cover to hunt out pheasants on a good day, pasture and then a stream for a drink/cool off if necessary. Over the stile by the church through the village sniffing where other dogs have been, meeting some to chat to sometimes. Cut up through my neighbours farm where there are bunnies in the hedges and back home through the woods.

Not stunning scenery but I think it ticks all boxes for Cass :smiledog:

I guess Red’s is pretty much the same as Cassie’s. We’ve just got back from our lunchtime walk. We stopped to chat for ages with two people - one had a 5 month old puppy with them. Red more or less ignored the puppy - poor puppy was desperate to play. So socialising (maybe more for me 😉) through the village, out towards the fields - plenty of sniffing. Up through the right of way between two fields - which means 🎾 time. Through the woods - lots more sniffing, a few games, then back home. I suspect though she’d say - the beach was her favourite walk as she could really run and swim in the sea

In the summer it has to be somewhere with water as Molly feels the heat easily. She likes the river at high tide (so she can wade along the edges among the weeds) and the sea at low tide (so there is sand). In the winter she is very fond of one particular spot on the Downs where there is a rabbit warren - she doesn't actually chase rabbits but likes to stick her nose into every burrow!
This photo is of the Cuckmere river - Molly likes it because it is shallower than the Ouse (our local river).
