The big weigh-in

Just back from the vets with the Labradogs (yes, autocorrect, I do want that to say "Labradogs", thankyouverymuch) for their annual vaccinations.

The weigh-in results are in.

Shadow: 24.6kg (he's a bit skinny at the moment, despite the fact he's eating twice as much as everyone else)
Willow: 25.6kg (just about right, could do with some more muscle on her)
Squidge: 29.6kg

Bring on those mountains, it's time to get those bum muscles working!!!

Well, now that I've seen your weigh in, I'm really confused about whether Carbon is "too skinny" as the vet says or a Labrahippo. He's quite a bit shorter and much less bone than Luna but weighs the same! Where is he stashing it???!

Either that or Luna is WAY too skinny at the moment. Let's go with that option: yes, Luna is too skinny and clearly needs a MASSIVE Christmas dinner to fix the situation.

Haha, Squidge is still slim by your average Labrador standard, but honestly, she hides her weight well. Are you sure Carbon is shorter, because she's a proper shorty! I would like her the same weight, but change some of that to muscle and she'd be dandy :)

I shall measure her tomorrow - and maybe some photos for good measure :D

I just assumed Squidge was a lot taller just because all the dogs I've seen who were related to her are quite big. I've not seen her since she was six months old and she didn't seem short then. As @VanillaBean says, she seemed perfect. :D

Carbon's weight doesn't bother me either way, it's just kind of a mystery that he can look so different at different times but at the same weight. Even the fact that he weighs only 2 kilos less than Brogan did - when Brogan was a good 4-5 inches taller and longer - is a bit baffling. But as long as he's healthy and nice and bouncy, it's all good!

Squidge is a mystery. She is short compared to W&S, low end of breed standard and, don’t get me wrong, she’s a touch porky at the moment, but I really don’t know where she puts it. When she’s very skinny, she’s still far heavier than a taller entire muscular male I know. It’s not like she’s over-done, she’s really not. But she has concrete legs, for sure 😂

Harley is quite a short lab and currently weighs 30.2kg. She is a bit over what she should be. She is very deep chested and her legs are pure muscle. Her ideal weight is around 28.5 - 29kg according to my vets.

Bramble is a small horse....she weighed in recently at 34. 4 kgs! :wasntme: She is the heaviest out of the three. Benson is 32kgs, admittedly he should be around 30 - 31kgs, so a bit to shave off. Casper weighs about the same and looks in great condition.

@Beanwood Bramble doesn't look that weight, she is a tall girl but is in perfect proportions. Rourke who I muddle up with Bramble when we are out, weighed 30.60kg yesterday at the vet, he is usually about 31+kg. I am keeping him a bit slim now because of his arthritic shoulders.
