Oooh, depends on the pastry and, again, how much time you have. Puff pastry, nuh-uh, life's too short. But shortcrust pastry is so much better home-made than bought, although I will use bought if I'm short on time. And flaky pastry is so easy to make, if you're making sausage rolls, it's a necessity. That warm-water crust I made for the pork pies was delicious, too; you couldn't buy that.Pastry, now, you wouldn't get me making that from scratch!
Yes, I know what that is like, these days I am semi retired I have time to enjoy it much more. Still don't make pastry though! After a long day at work and dog walking and house jobs it’s literally what can I make that is quick and easy!
And your point is ?So we go from counter surfing for a carrot to spag bol (with our Canadian friends no idea what it was) to now going for Pastry

I have a one pound bread maker - just right for two of us.
Mr Boogs buys the pastry - no yuk in there, just the same ingredients as if you make your own. Much more expensive ‘tho.
