Rory has just nearly ruined his willy by licking it to the point of the lipstick coming out the sheath by about 3 inches. His willy sheath is engorged and swollen. He was having difficulty walking so we've taken a very slow walk around the cold garden given him a huge sheep's face skin chew. I've applied a very cold compress to the willy and thankful I've got all the relevant bits back where they should be. The lipstick didn't dry out it's all back in and he's gone to sleep,. Bless he's tired after nearly w**king into doggy A/E. My oh is hiding upstairs with his fingers in his ears going no no no no. Has anyone had this happened? am I being naive? He seems fine.

If it’s all back in 5hen should be ok, but that is generaly considered a medical emergency. Poor Rory, and poor you, so glad it’s all back to normal......flipping ‘eck on top of your own health worries.

Not normally he's fine this morning after his self pleasuring adventures.
I’m guessing he was obsessively licking cos it was itchy or sore—could be an infection. It is apparently excruciatingly painful when the penis is so swollen that it can’t go back into the sheath. A cold compress was a good idea. But if it continues, I’d be seeing the vet for treatment for a possible infection. In the meantime, can you irrigate the area with saline?

Rourke did it when he was about 8 months old, it frightened him to death! I had him castrated at 19 months and it has never been a problem since. It can be quite a problem if it gets stuck out, a cold compress usually solves the problem with luck.
He's fine I just keep an eye on things it's was just a one of those late night Labrador dramas

I'm starting to feel really lucky that all Carbon does (so far) is give his a wash and then lick my face immediately afterwards. That's bad enough.
