Agree. But also it’s so hard when you’ve just lost one to cancer not to think about it for your next one. My first Rottie was impeccably bred, all natural home cooked diet, best of everything - died at 5 from cancer. Next Rottie boy was a dog-fighting ring rescue, pretty much bred to die young...

There’s also a massive difference in types of Labradors, so still lots of choice within the same breed. Looking forward to seeing who your new friend turns out to be. ☺️ I thought our motto was “For heaven’s sake, keep your hands away from the crocopup teeth!” 🤣

Agree 100% on this. The first time I dog sat my friends’ cockers in Spain, they nearly gave me heart failure running away on the beach to chase birds. 😱
