    Bear is pain free now.

Thank you everybody. Today has been hard as we had tell the kids by text. I didn't want to call them and have them hearing me cry. They were all little sad but all said it was kindest thing to do. We miss our little man but we know he will never feel ill or in pain again.

    Bear is pain free now.

Thank you all. It all happened very suddenly and I am just so pleased with the vet's handling of him at the end. She was kind and so very caring. He fell asleep in oh's arms and was being stroked and cuddled to the end. Yes, we are crying but we are also remembering the silly things he did which...

This afternoon , he has been the devil incarnate !

I have had so, so many dogs over my lifetime and I am definitely still learning. Every one of the little buggers has had me pulling my hair out at one time or the other. I think they learn how to take advantage of even the smallest lapse in attention on our part. That said, some dogs are clever...

Don't worry... she will teach my dog a lesson!

I only ever lose my temper with other dog owners these days. I can cope with stupid people in other situations but when it involves my dogs I am more than happy to give someone a damn good dressing down. I will try to be polite at first but if the other dog owner persists in being a moron then...

Never underestimate what a dog will resource guard

I have four dogs also and I get the odd scuffle. It is not a normal thing but now and again it happens. It is shocking when it happens but I quickly separate the ones involved for a few minutes and they calm down. Then it is back to business as usual. There are exceptions like brain tumours (...

    Another dog?

JRT's are amazing little dogs. When I got Bear as a puppy he stole my heart within minutes. He was easily trainable, bright and very playful.I would end up laughing at his antics several times a day. They are cheap to keep, don't take up much space and love their cuddles. Also they are very long...

    Hattie, her lump and arthritis

Bear was diagnosed with arthritis about 9 years ago and is only now having a real problem. I figured, after his diagnoses, "well, he's the same dog he was yesterday" and treated him as such. The only differences I have made is moving to Youmove+ (as opposed to youmove) and he is now on pain...

    Car sick

It does seem to be young pups. Amber was like this until she was grown a bit too. She's fine now though. I think something with ginger in is a very good idea!

    GGJ is at the Vet's.

Poor GGJ and poor you! Just remember that dogs don't worry about these things. They just accept things as the new norm after a while. It is us that worry and feel awful. If she has to wear one of those awful cones, she will be fine once she get's used to it and it will aid her recovery. I'm so...
