The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Nelly. we had a small yellow thing and when it grew up it had no dognity at all! Terrible manners and obviously related to a hippo. Put an end to this now Lady Nelly. For your own sanity's sake. Poppy.

    Special visit this Saturday

I'm sure you will have already told Silas that puppies are bitey and pee and poo on floors etc. so he will be well prepared and will just enjoy the pup. I had to do the same thing with my grandson. He just giggled (pee and poo he he) and then fell in love with the pup. I'm so glad this happening...

    Mr Pink

I think I would complain, to be perfectly honest. It's pretty stupid to be working in a veterinary surgery and not expect animal noise. If they stressed my dog like that I'd be looking for apologies all round. I hope you are both feeling better now.

Skunked! poor boy is rubbing his face all over the house

We don't have skunks in the UK but when I visited America I remember a lot of talk of skunks. Apparently the smell is truly terrible. Poor you.

    Raw, combination or no change?

I absolutely agree with @snowbunny here. I have fed a mixture for donkey's years and my dogs have always been healthy, fit and active. This has lead to my vet asking if I could do a write up about it several times. I have declined to do this as I don't want to be responsible for what other...

The Kennel Club - no hoomans allowed!

Mum invited some other dogs over to the field this morning and we ran and ran and played and ran and jumped in the stream and then had treats and sossij and ran some more. Alex ran most and played and ran. Sleepy now..................... Amber.

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Oh Emily! What a horrible day. My thoughts go with you. I'd run for safety and friendship over here in the UK. Then you can take some, much deserved "down time" and get some rest.

    ALEX, the Bodeguero cross

Alex is a happy little boy at the moment. He is relaxed and settled and often climbs into OH's lap for a snooze now. It was only a short time ago he was a bit afraid of men. He and Amber are joined at the hip forever now, I think. They play and sleep together. Even Poppy, who can be very stand...

    Food transition complete

She may need muscle tone. After Alex joined us I noticed a big change in muscle tone once I started walking him and working him more. Coming from a shelter where he had little exercise his muscle tone was quite poor, poor lad. Now he is beautifully toned and his ribs have lost that cushioned...

    Interesting behaviour by Mad Maxx

I know some dogs react to a diabetic hypo so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they reacted to other bodily distresses. They are very intuitive.

    Shadow's ouchy foot

Yep! That's a Dick Dog. I know because Amber is beginning to answer to Dick. She once did something similar and it turned out she had caught one toe and that was the cause of her limping. She still remained a Dick all the time it was getting better though.

    Rourke has arthritis :-(

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Bear has arthritis in his back and does very well on Yumove. He has to have Onsior for a week now and then when he has a real flare up but he does still have a happy, fulfilled life as I'm sure your lovely Rourke will too. My thoughts go with you.
