    Toby's Growl

Greetings and Happy New year to all: Please forgive me if I should have continued the thread from last year. I thought it best to start a new one. This is my latest post of Toby's peculiar (and sometimes annoying) growl. Each video I've captured is a better example of his behaviour and I'm...

Toby's Growl - Third and Final Video

All - Thanks for your patience. This is my third and probable final video of Toby's peculiar growl. It's deep, loud, and possibly menacing. But he is not snarling (mouth), not baring his teeth, wags his tail and leans into us, much like a purring cat. We suspect it's benign; however...

    Toby's Growl - Video 1

That's an interesting observation you've made about Toby's mouth. We've noted the same. When his growl is amped up, he looks relaxed, in every sense, but sounds annoyed. I'll post again when I get a better video. Thanks again for the observation. Len

    Growling?

Thank you all for the friendly, welcoming replies. We live in Seal Beach, California with our three year old Toby, our fourth lab over the years.. He is, without a doubt, the craziest of them all. He is extremely friendly to everyone and, for this reason, find the growl peculiar. He never...

    Growling?

Greetings: Our three year old neutered black male lab is extremely friendly to everyone, energetic and healthy. He has never bitten anyone and hopefully never will. However, when we wake him or bother him when he is with a favorite toy, he will sometimes growl in a menacing way; yet, his tail...
