    Farewell, tiny Pongster

Harley was his special girl. Thanks Naya - I know they are bog-snorkelling together now.

    Farewell, tiny Pongster

Oh YES! I remember that very well. How to get all those labradors' attention INSTANTLY! I think Pongo inhaled his.

    Farewell, tiny Pongster

Awwwwwwwwwwwww - thank you, and those are brilliant photos! We are putting together a memory / story book of him and I'd like to steal these if possible. He loved his Severnside Walkies, and he would be particularly proud of that shot with him caked in mud....

    Farewell, tiny Pongster

Oh Emily - thank you! And for that memory and photo (we will be making a "memories" book of him, and that one will go in). It was incredibly sudden, and I think we are still slightly in shock. But we know the decision was right, and he left the world in the best possible way. Please still...

    Farewell, tiny Pongster

Thanks so much, Phil. I'm quite sure that Holly and Pongo have met up for a really good sniff 'n' swim. Thanks for all your love and friendship in the Severnside Walkies group!

Thanks everyone. That means a lot.

    Farewell, tiny Pongster

I haven't been on the forum much in the last few years, but I'm back now to share some sad news with the people that Pongo and I shared many, many happy times with. For the last few weeks, Pongo has been having trouble pee-ing. There wasn't an obvious cause, despite scans and X-rays, and...

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

So true! And perhaps the sig line knows better. It means: "assistance dog, i.e. assisting in the training of the human race to dispense cookies at a more appropriate rate." Pongo would approve.

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Well, of course. He's a labrador. (And I think it is time that the words "in training" came off his signature line!) Have a good flight, and enjoy that cookie trolley Carbon...

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Pongo is 11 and a half! But in his head he is still a very tiny puppy.... He says it was lovely to see Carbon and his ML (and he is sorry he got so very very over-excited... 🫢)

Let's share photos of our starving Labradors!

Yeah. At that moment he was trying to pass for a seven-year-old hooman. (It didn't quite work.) He is the master of disguise (if food is on offer)

Let's share photos of our starving Labradors!

Pongo hasn't been on the forum much for a while, and in the meantime has acquired several partners-in-crime (also known as "mum and dad's grandchildren"). He thinks he can blend in at dinnertime, and is hoping eventually for a plate of his own. He lets them do the hard work of begging.

Wonderful news, Carbon! And you are, as always, muy guapo. xxxxx

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Oh good grief! What a trip. Hope you are moving again by now? It was so lovely to see you both here on Wednesday - and Pongo says he is terribly terribly sorry for getting so over-excited :hmm::$:giggl:. Carbon was extremely patient with this enormous lump thinking he was a tiny puppy (and...

Lovely to see you both, Carbon! You are a true gentleman. And you would be very very good at haggis hunting.

The Labraventures of Carbón, Spanish (ex-) foster dog extraordinaire

Pongo was completely overwhelmed with love for his dear, dear amigo Carbon. Since waving goodbye he has been asleep and snoring - absolutely dead to the world... ;-)

    Holly

So sorry to hear this, Phil. Holly is the luckiest of pups to have you and Ruth to make every day for her the best it can be. No pain, and no fear - that is a good combination that is perhaps the best that any of us could ever wish for. May she have as many days as possible just like that...
