Poor, poor Cassie! I hope the vet can sort her ear out soon. My yellow Lab, Barley ( Solstice's predogcessor) was prone to ear infections as she got older. The vet told me that Labradors and other breeds with ears that flop over are particularly prone mainly as they get older, and recommended...

I tend to agree, certainly for dogs like Labradors, as long as they're not very young puppies, or to elderly to move briskly enough to keep warm. Our winter walks are always very much striding out and moving briskly walks, to keep me warm just as much as Joy, and she's always keen to go.

We walked up to Warley Green today and Joy was very happy to do some ball fetching in the snow.

No snow here in the valley, but some up on the tops, with quite a clear demarcation line.

We have an amber alert for snow overnight. It certainly is pretty chilly out there, but Joy and I are comfy and cosy by the fire and have plenty of food in, so no need to worry, with any luck.🤞❄🌨
