A big thank you to this forum

I found what could only be described as an ugly mole on my Lottie’s chests. The biopsy was inconclusive so the vet removed it with a good margin just incase. The results came back as grade 1 Mast cell tumour with clear margins. The relief was palpable although I will remain vigilant.
Without this forum I would have ignored it as just an ugly mole so a big thank you to you all for making me aware.

It was 4 weeks ago now. She was brilliant she didn’t bat an eye. The lead walks for 10 days was the hard part. The wound has healed well (although the vet wouldn’t win any sewing contests) and her fur is growing back.
I found the ugly mole by accident when I was stroking her I thought it felt like something stuck to her fur, what worry’s me is unless I meticulously scrutinise all her body how can I be still wont miss anymore.

I fully understand your worries about more MCT`s having gone through this . I was paranoid at first but gradually realised that this wasnt helping me, or Reuben either . I do tend to run my hands over him carefully about once a week . Its so good that you found it early and took action , no use me saying dont worry because of course you will but try not to stress yourself too much xxx
