A gift for Maslow

One of the support workers at work (I work in a school) has a new 1:1 child who is massively struggling - I’ve been doing some work with him and Maslow - simple things but they are being very affective - we managed to get him into the school building for a start! Something we have been working on for weeks... last week he held maslows lead (whilst I fed a steady stream of treats!) and he was able to access his classroom for the first time.

Anyway... as a thank you... she’s MAKING Maslow a snuffle Mat! How lovely is that! He’s going to love it

Oh Leanne, that's wonderful progress. I used to work with special needs children in a pre school, mostly children on the Autistic Spectrum so that is real progress. My own son has High Functioning Autism and he couldn't enter School either to start with, I wish I'd had a dog then. He is at University now doing a Biology Degree. Great snuffle matt. xx

That is just amazing.
Dogs are just the best - it's fabulous what you are being allowed to do with Maslow. Your kids don't know how special they are x

It's amazing what a difference he's already making - still so young! A snuffle mat is a lovely idea. If the girl finds that she enjoys making the mat, she could make and sell them to earn some pocket money, because they sell for a good price.

Well done to both of you. I know how hard that must of been to get the girl through the classroom door. What a lovely gift too. Harley has her tea on her snuffle mat every night!
