A Little Strange

Out on my walk this morning I met a man who was not local so I asked him if he was OK. He said he was waiting for his wife who was quite a way off, so far away I hadn't seen her whilst I did the same track. She was with their 6 month old Border Collie. They were training the puppy not to rush up to every dog he meets. That's great but how on earth are they expecting to train that if the puppy can't see any dogs to train with? xx

It may have been their first pup? I must admit that with my first dog I didn't have a clue. That's more years ago than I care to remember and there was no internet back then. My point is, though, that if they have a first time dog they may have no clue what should be done and are just bumbling along as best they can.
