At the vet again...

Very quick thinking on your part and I'm very glad he's ok. I doubt that any of us are always vigilant - accidents happen. I hope you can relax a bit.

Glad Chewie is ok! What a fright but brilliant quick thinking!

I would have probably assumed Stanley had chewed it up with the chicken and adopted a wait and see 😬 I’ll know for future!

He is doing well. A bit tired and has soft poos, but we think the latter is due to the vet feeding him Hills, which doesn't agree with his system at all. Now that he is on cooked food that is improving. The Hills poos smells so offensive too. Yuck.

Since we are both radiologists we have seen plenty of human perforations due to small, seemingly innocuous pointy objects so we knew when to be concerned I guess.

It was the vet's suggestion. We were kind of expecting it, but didn't suggest it.
I was just wondering given your expertise. And thinking what it’s like for the general population who don’t have any background and put all their trust in a vet.

Our medical knowledge definitely makes it so much easier to navigate human and animal medicine. That said, we try not to tread on toes! The same for when I see my GP- I know she is an expert on children's health for example and knows a lot more than me.
