A little side note rant.. doesn’t it drive you round the bend when stuff like this happens and you get the “you’ll have to teach him not to eat things” comments.

You know what.. I never thought of that. I thought it was amazing my dog is a living dustbin.

Oh what’s that.. your dog isn’t particularly food motivated, always loads of food left in their bowl. Hmmm I don’t think it’s your impeccable training that stops them eating everything they come across then

My OH always says "surely she should know that by now" or "she should know better" - when no one has ever trained 'that' at all.

Oh Mas Mas Mas.....at least you don't have a boring dog Leanne! I'm sure every single one of the dogs on this forum would have done the same thing if they had the opportunity. I know Maxx would. He almost got a whole BBQ chicken yesterday and it was only the sound of him jumping up that saw me running back into the kitchen. Bless him, he makes little grunting sounds when he is doing his little leaps before the big leap up to the kitchen bench that gives him away every time

Yeah, like when my OH says 'she knows what I am saying' when really she doesn't as he is not using the right commands. Then he gets put out that she won't do what he says because guess what - she DOESN'T know what you are saying because you didn't teach her - I DID and I don't use those words, why won't you listen to me you ********!!!
