Benson's Balls....

Speedy recovery, Benson! I must’ve missed the backstory to this. Why did he have the op? And how old is he? Was it an easy op? I’ve always understood that the older the dog, the more complicated it is. Unless that is just what vet’s say as motivation to do it too young?
Having been present at many castrations I would say it is a relatively easy op, it is more the anaesthetic risk.

Yup, this.

Benson is absolutely fine. He is only wearing the cone, as being a boy, it is very hard for him to leave his bits alone at the best of times! He is having gentle calm walks to help him adjust to the change in hormones levels. Castrating Benson was an incredibly difficult decision, we did it for him so he could be more comfortable in his own skin, and less preoccupied with what other dogs are doing, both male and female. Some dogs manage very well being entire, and some don't, Benson is sadly one of the latter.
