Can a lab get a coat blow?

I know that you really only do this with Huskies and Samoyeds, but I swear...no matter how much I groom, no matter how much I vacuum...if you even LOOK at Aspen he's dropping 1,000 white hairs. So, do any of you think bringing him to the groomers regularly would help? Can labs get their coats blown or is that dangerous for them?

Nevermind...wouldn't want to remove too much hair before winter comes. I know that their undercoat helps regulate temp so a coat blow probably wouldn't be ideal. Maybe I wouldn't mind it so much if Justen helped me with grooming and vacuuming

I need to have the vacuum surgically sewn to my arm. We brush him at least once daily but it makes no difference I'm afraid.
