Digging!!

Millie and Windsor have decided that digging the grass is now the BEST THING EVER.
I have put things over the holes to stop them, but they just go and dig somewhere else. Millie also seems to “dig” inside on the bed and cool mat. Not quite sure what has brought this all on, it only started a week or so ago.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how to stop it? I have tried covering the holes and redirecting her attention but she just seems adamant that is what she wants to do! I haven’t noticed her doing this at work so there must be something particularly interesting here....
(We are also getting a bit frustrated at the grass getting dug up)

The dogs have always had a liking for digging under the garden table in the stones, making a wee hollow for themselves. Not so the grass though *sigh*

Cassie has never ever dug until yesterday! She was warm after her walk and got a bit hot and bothered trying to deal with the puppy, and began to make a scrape under the buddliea bush !! I definitely don't want Reeva getting that idea, I got one of cassie's blankets and put it on the gravel in the shade for her, she settled on that.

Toffee loves digging, mostly to bury his ball. He always used to do it at the beach but now we don’t go to the beach he’s become a real fiend and I have to watch him when we’re out otherwise he’s likely to dig up the footpaths, and in the field at the village hall. I suggested OH should make him a sandpit but he thought I was joking (I wasn’t :shake: ) .

Molly is a persistent digger. I used to stop previous dogs and soon they no longer did it, but Molly is incredibly stubborn persistent. Last week I bought a small bag of play sand to fill her most recent hole, thinking if she liked it I'd get more and extend it. Well she gave me a 'what on earth have you done to my hole' look and proceeded to dig it all out so she could get down to the soil again. (And yet she loves rolling in sand at the training barn and if we ever get to a sandy beach - oh and in the bunkers at the golf course when no-one is looking!)

Reuben is a sneaky digger , he goes to the far side of the greenhouse where he thinks he wont be spotted . His holes are never really big, just enough to be annoying , he watches me fill them in and I swear he is smiling at the thought of digging them out again, monkey x
