Disastrous Walk that Landed me in Hospital ;(

It's the same in Andorra, @MellowYellow. Daily physio for as long as is necessary. Even during the pandemic, a friend of mine has been having his appointments, well over a year since he damaged his shoulder. Among other measures, he has to take a change of clothes to put on when he arrives, I guess in case someone has breathed virus over him between home and the surgery!

The mystery of the missing Physio is solved. I called my GP surgery this morning to enquire about Physio visit. "You haven't been referred for Physio" after some investigation I was told that the Physio at Glasgow Hospital had neglected to refer me to my local Hospital Physio team so I wasn't on their radar. I spoke to the lovely Practice Nurse who was very sorry and is urgently referring me for a Physio phone call that could take up to 2 weeks, so heaven knows how long a home visit will be. I'm not holding my breath 😞 xx

If you are feeling up to it, it is worth feeding that back to the hospital. It's pretty poor that someone recovering from major orthopaedic surgery got forgotten for a physio referral! I hope they rush your referral along and you get that appointment asap.

I don't feel it will make any difference feeding back, but I know what you mean. I have, hopefully got the wheels in motion so will get the call soon. I have also contacted a friend of mine who is an NHS Physio here and asked for a details on good private Physio's to see if I can possibly have home visits. I am pretty annoyed about it but just have to move forward for the best outcome. I'm still not in the awful situation so many are, so nothing to moan about really. Thanks. xx
