Fox!

When I let Poppy out the night before last there was a big dog fox on the patio. I had no idea Poppy could move so quickly and the fox only just made it over the fence into the neighbour's garden. Fortunately, it decided on that route where there is a 6ft fence because the other direction into the field (where the fox lives) has only a 5ft fence which Poppy could clear easily. Much rushing up and down by the Pop dog with lots of huffing and puffing. I think she was lucky to miss it as I'm sure it could have inflicted a lot of damage if cornered.

Anyway, last night I let the Poppy dog out for her last wee again. She always has a kibble when she first goes out the door (history from when we first got her). However, she remembered the fox and took off for a couple of yards, hackles already up, then stopped dead and came back for her kibble, sat nicely, then took off again down the garden at full speed with full huffing and puffing! So funny. The girl seems have sorted out her priorities!

Harley does exactly the same. For an older girl I didn’t think she could run that fast still….but she does. They do remember though!
