Freaky

This morning just before OH and I were leaving for work, Quinn started breathing funny through her nose and acting like she was going to puke, but not really. It almost seemed like something was stuck in her throat. She was panicking a little, tail between legs and trying to stand right beside me, whereas when she is going to puke she normally stays where she is. She finally let out a burp, and stopped then panted for a minute or two. Then burped again. We freaked and I stayed home from work for a few hours to see if she was OK or if I needed to take her to the vet. She seemed ok, and after an hour and half, I gave her breakfast. I left after another hour of everything being normal, but am still worried. OH is worried it is related to her running too much and getting hot, but I don't know what to think. I'm thinking maybe gas in her tummy?

this is the exact video I'm watching :ROFLMAO: . This dog seems a lot less dramatic, but some other videos seem more similar. I think this is the answer (but seems weird she never did this until age 3 and a half!)

This was my first thought, Kipper does it once in a blue moon and I think it must be pretty alarming for them. He reacts similarly, although now we know what it is we try and talk soothingly and keep chilled. If you’ve never seen it before it’s scary.

Thank god for forums! I knew reverse sneezing existed but it didn't even cross my mind! My YouTube adventure reveals that stroking their neck can help, as well as pinching nostrils (we'll see about that one ).
