For those with " helpful " pups and adult dogs , use your ironing board to wrap presents on ! I saw this tip on TV , its absolutely brilliant , sellotape and scissors on the iron stand bit and all well away from helpful paws or jaws ! I knew my redundant ironing board would come in handy one day ! xxx

That is genius! Thanks Kate - whenever I use the kitchen table, I get a little foxy head pop up and start snuffling at the sellotape, mouthing wrapping paper... I find him hilarious and we have to go and play so nothing gets done

I don't "wrap" presents anymore. I get gift bags and pretty tissue and shove the gifts in them topped with a cloud of the tissue. All this can be done quickly while OH takes the dogs out.

I don't own an ironing board. The one time of year I might iron something I do it on a towel on the kitchen bench. My mum used to iron everything...even my dad's undies!

I so agree ! Mine was bought for me as a wedding present ( nice eh ?) first time round which was 53 years ago ! It has been in our outhouse here for many years , gathering dust, unloved and unused, until now ! xx

You mean you have carted that thing all the way to France and back...possibly several times?! Reuben deserves a special treat if he's the reason it's finally getting used for the first time in over 50 years!

Well I dug out & dusted off my ironing board and wrapped my presents. Why on why did I never think of this! No sore back from bending over on hands and knees. All done!
