Losing a pet is devastating , and sadly our devastation can sometimes be misunderstood , the truth is that it is a profound sense of loss which, at times, is all consuming , painful and hard to bear .
For many years until my retirement , I worked as a volunteer for the Blue Cross on their Pet Bereavement Support Service , a wonderful help for those who need to talk , who need someone to listen .
Please , do not suffer in silence , there is no need . You can ring this number, free of charge from a UK landline , between the hours of 8.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. seven days a week , 365 days a year 0800 096 6606.

That's lovely Kate and I had no idea it existed. The truly wonderful thing though is that I had this forum when Bear died and then Toby, via this forum, made a big healing event in my life. I still miss my little Bear but without this forum I might have finally cracked. Toby turned up when I really needed him.
The service you have brought to our attention is invauable, probably a life saver to some. Is there a way to donate to them?
