Help! We have a border collie for the weekend

Any suggestions gratefully received. Do border collies ever chill? We've been for a nice long walk, while it was cooler, but now he really can't seem to relax. He doesn't know us very well, my brother was supposed to be having him for the weekend, but something came up, so here we are.

Cor, you’re earning your wings! How lovely you were able/willing to help out. @Beanwood ’s suggestions plus variations on a theme - he’s bound to be a bit unsettled so scatters, slow chews (autocorrected to chess - might be possible for a collie? Kipper finds it too boring), lick mats etc. Depending how much time/dedication you have, you could do a simple activity trail for them to work their brain; things to walk over, under, round, through - a cardboard box with paper and toilet rolls and biscuits scattered in, maybe a bowl of water with ice cubes and frozen peas in for him to scoop out? Good luck!

Poor lad, it must be disorientating for him! And poor you too of course if he can't settle. It's very kind of you to look after him for the weekend.

He does seem to have done. We had a good night with him. He sleeps under the bed! Good job we don't have a divan. 🤭 Has had breakfast and is just lay by the sofa (but listening to every noise).
Hope the three of you have a happy and enjoyable weekend. I guess he was wound up to begin with as he wasn't sure what was going on, I find they soon settle.
