Hovis

This is the lovely therapy dog called Hovis , who came to see me in ICU Derriford Hospital . He is the first one to be allowed into an ICU ward , he was such a darling who made a huge difference at the most horrible of times , he brought smiles xx

The ward behind them is the ICU unit I was in when Hovis came to see me . I was really weepy at the time , shock and realisation I suppose . The man on the left was the Physiotherapist , he was a wonderful person who helped me to get out of bed , and it was he who came and asked if I would like a visit from Hovis . That dog was a star , he was so gentle and made a huge difference to so many xx

I also had a visit from a therapy dog while I was in the hospital for burns in the US and will never, ever forget him and how he helped me.

I think every hospital should have a therapy dog. When I was desperate with tinnitus, therapist brought her dogs in, such a comfort.
