I have a cold!

I have developed a cold today which is disconcerting as I have been nowhere, except over the fields and the only person I saw was my friend. We kept the social distance, didn't touch any gates, didn't see another person. I haven't seen Sue for four days and apparently she developed a cold a couple of days ago. It just shows how easily Covid 19 could be spread if I have caught a cold from someone who didn't sneeze, cough and was perfectly well the last time I saw her.

You keep thinking do I have Covid or is it a common cold.....Sometimes you wonder how and where did I get it.....You can catch it so easily, as you say so yourself.
It’s the season for common colds, running noses, coughing, sneezing etc.

Wow, interesting how you managed to catch a cold from your friend who didn't even feel sick at the time. Interesting but scary. And importantly: get lots of rest and I hope you'll be feeling better quickly.

Thank you everyone. I know it isn't Covid as not the right symptoms, but just concerned how easy it is to get a cold, so does that mean it is as easy to get Covid!

Too true! A lesson for us all.

Oh yes, scary indeed.
But remember many people get even Covid with very few symptoms to show, it doesn't mean you will end up in ITU or have long term consequences.
It seems on the roll of the dice.......

I remember my mum got a cold a few years ago. That particular week for various reasons, she had not been anywhere and no one had been to see her. We couldn’t understand how she had got it. Hope your cold goes quickly @Jelinga

No worse thank you, except throat is more sore, but I seem to perpetually have a sore throat at low level, a slave to my throat

You have my sympathies. I do too - I am always assuming it’s hay fever from something or other

I get terrible sore throats with a cold, like I've swallowed razorblades, my sympathies @Jelinga , hope you feel better soon x
