Isn't my little girl funny?

Just now, while sitting here having a mid morning catch up on MLF a little bird, a coal tit in fact, flew into my living room through the open door on this lovely September morning, got itself fluttering about against the window as they do. (For those that are stuperstitious, , yes I know the old wives tale :)
Cassie obviously was curious, got herself up from her post walk snooze and calmly watched while I picked it up from the window sill, and just looked at it in my hand, made no attempt to make any contact with it. In fact she looked away, as if I had food in my hand. Even when I opened my hand and it clung onto my finger for a few seconds she just looked at it calmly and not aroused at all. She was just the same a few months ago when she found an abandoned cygnet by the lake, no attempt to mouth it.
And yet this is a dog with a high hunt/chase drive, although even then if she's seen the deer or whatever it is she will return to me a lot quicker than if she just picks up an exciting scent.

She's always surprising me!

That just so good
Well, I need really to work on stopping her chasing game, I know she will come back, but not going in the first place would be better!
If you'd seen her yesterday on a hare scent ….. not good, quite lost to me, until in desperation I shouted out "for f***** sake come back here", in a good old fashioned way, …. and she did:tail::hmm::hmm:
