Just wondering......

This is something that I was considering doing earlier this year, but events somewhat overtook me, Now that the dust is slightly starting to settle I'm wondering again if there's anyone in my local area who might like to meet up for a walk sometime. Joy and I live in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire. There are lots of lovely walks around here and although I don't drive we are good at public transport and can access the Rochdale and Greater Manchester area without difficulty. If anyone is interested in meeting up, please let me know. GGJ and I are just raring to go!

I am just down the A1 in north Cambridgeshire - alas West Yorkshire is too far for a walk but we come up to York several times a year.

What we need is a map showing all the locations of members willing to meet, then we can contact someone and ask to meet them at their location. That way the asker is willing to travel to that certain place and the 'askee' (?) is willing to accept visitors for a walk.

I don't think we all have our locations on here do we? And if we do maybe we don't necessarily want to meet, or can't.
Maybe we could have a separate forum for those willing to meet up? (that might have been suggested before).

Haha - I’m in Rochdale

We used to have a narrowboat and we kept it in the basin in Sowerby Bridge for a few years.

I lived on a narrowboat for five years and that's how I ended up in Sowerby Bridge. I arrived before the Deep Lock and the tunnel under Tuel Lane were opened and I couldn't go any further!

Also should have added that I worked in Rochdale for 20 years so I'm all too familiar with the hill that you're over!
