You can do it on lead, but you need to be aware that if your dog misses the treat and it bounces away, it could cause him to lunge - unless you've already trained him not to do that....
This is the voice of experience. Shadow is the world's worst catch. He probably only catches one out of every five, if that.

Well I'd say off lead, that's how I use it. It is effective with Cassie --- she just loves catching, and is pretty good at it!

Thanks ladies. Charlie is excellent at catching and rarely misses so I think I will give it a go on and off lead x

I use it on lead a lot with Coco. He is VERY good at catching, rarely misses one.
