Lumpy chin?

I’ve discovered some odd lumps and sores on Kipper’s chin - there was one 3 days ago which I put down to rough play at day care, but have noticed more today ? off to the vets tomorrow first thing... at least it’s not bothering him at the moment.

I wonder if its Canine Acne ? Sam had this when he was young , nothing seemed to get rid of them . Our Vet said that once his immune system strengthened , it would disappear , he was right ! You do right to let the Vet have a look , hoping its nothing to bother about x

Hooray, it's acne - kudos to your theories! And the vet was lovely, and he wasn't stressed which had been worrying me (his last 'hands on' visit was for conjunctivitis which he hated and has been quite nervous of the vet's ever since). He was SO well behaved - well, after lifting his leg in the waiting room... did some fab sustained sitting and lying down, lots of 'look at me' during usual traffic and very polite in the surgery. And the vet (who has an 18 month lab called Dora) said she thought he was a super young dog, lovely build and muscle development and she was very happy with his behaviour so 3 cheers all round! I'm very proud of him :giggle:

That's good news ! It cleared up all on its own with Sam , we were just advised to keep the area clean to stave off infection , I used a very diluted mix of Hibiscrub if he had been anywhere mucky . Nice that he got a glowing report from your Vet too !

That's really good to hear; she suggested cleaning with warm salty water on a paper towel/cotton wool after he's eaten, but if that bothers him I'll get some Hibiscrub (probably useful to have anyway). If it gets worse we might have to think about antibiotics, although keen not to if poss. It was nice and reassuring, I do fret

Great news! I didn't do anything with Willow's if I'm honest. It never went bad, and just sorted itself out. It's probably a good idea to use an antibacterial solution, though, just to be on the safe side :)
