I've just watched this, it's a real eye opener as to how serious this disease is, also the long term effects in some people and it's on the increase even in towns/cities especially in Scotland - great! xx

My son in law has chronic Lyme disease. He is sick for more then 7 years. He was a student and did business administration. He had to give up his study and his hobby kite surfing. For us it is so hard to see him suffer and for our daughter who is very dedicated to him!

No, at first it wasn’t acknowledged, later he went to a professor in Belgium. There he still is under treatment. Quite some time now....

I'm so sorry @Anne123 . A friend's adult son had it and at first it was mis-diagnosed as a stroke. He was ill for over a year but has eventually recovered.

Ugh. It can be so nasty and difficult to diagnose. Hope the doctors can investigate treatments for him that might help.
