Molly's bed

When Molly was a puppy she had a small plastic bed with a thin mattress, then a bigger one of the same. When she outgrew that I decided she could have a double duvet folded on top of several old pillows and some blankets, which she was perfectly happy with. (She just sleeps on the settee or the floor during the day, or if she chooses to stay downstairs at night - the bed is just if she wants to sleep with me.)
Anyway the other week I decided her bed arrangement was very unwieldy, but as decent dog beds are so expensive I had the bright idea of buying a human bed chair - you know one of those foam mattress z bed things that fold out. It came, it feels comfy to me - about 14cm deep when as a bed - but Molly hates it. I've even put her old duvet on top (with its unwashed smelly cover!) but she refuses to even put a foot on it. Tonight she wanted to come upstairs with me but is lying on the floor.

Oh bless , she knows what she wants alright ! Nelly has a beautiful wicker basket , complete with padded mattress and a duvet , plus a lovely fleece blanket on the sofa .Despite this luxury , she also choses to sleep on the floor at times .
That's a good idea though Joy , the chairy thing , good beds are such a price x

I was given a beige corduroy beanbag for my 21st birthday by my brother. It's been kicking around my home now for.....well 32 years .....lilly commandeered it when she was a pup and it has always been her first choice of bed.
Now with a vet bed on top making it more steady to get on and off.
John Lewis built their stuff to last.
They know what they like these dogs of ours.
