Never have a owned a dog who can change so much so quickly, but I love it 
At home , with just us, he is calm ( yes I did say calm ! ) soppy , cuddly and sweet . When we have a visitor , especially Auntie Emily , he becomes a lunatic almost puppy like in his behaviour, but when I take him out for a walk he is a focussed machine , intent on his retrieving , all signs of silliness have gone , he watches me all the time like his very life depends on it
I love this switch from silly soft boy to concentrated gundog behaviour , I just adore him xxx
