Nelly , pollen !

Been to the Vets this morning as she has been making this alarming noise , like she is trying to cough something up , and sneezing a lot too . Turns out that the coughing noise is called reverse sneezing and not a cough , general consensus is that she has a pollen allergy , poor lamb ! Our neighbour has a large tree which overhangs our garden and honestly , it like its snowing out there with the pollen coming off it , he did say he would chop it back last year but never got round to it , so its now a priority as I`m also suffering with hay fever as well as Nelly ! Poor little Nelly, the reverse sneezing sounds horrendous but thankfully only last for seconds x

Poor Nelly that's miserable. I couldn't believe the amount of tree pollen here in Scotland. The forest is less than 100 meters from our house, the clouds of yellow fine dust that settles on everything including the windows I had cleaned the day before!! Are you going to nudge your neighbour along Kate? x

Definately , they are nice people so I cant see any problems , they are just forgetful ! x

Poor girl. Did the vet give her any medication?

Hope the pollen goes away soon.
Said to give her half a piriton tablet when its bad . If the wind stays away she should be fine ,its bad when high winds blow the tree pollen about . She hasnt been too bad this morning thank goodness , that reverse sneezing has to be heard to be believed ! x

Poor Nelly, hopefully the allergy is short lived. Kipper does reverse sneezing once in a while, it’s quite something isn’t it?!

Happily he did it during one of his puppy check-ups yonks ago and the vet told us what it was and said don’t worry about it at all, otherwise I’d have found it quite scary.

Willow reverse sneezes every now and again; it can be quite distressing for her. All of us have been sneezing a bit on our hols; it’s not giving me that horrible itchy eyes thing, so I don’t think it’s pine pollen - wonderfully, we generally avoid that these days as by the time we go to our house in Spain, it’s finished there and it comes a lot later in Andorra.

Thought these eye drops worth a mention . I must stress that they are not in place of medicated eye drops for infection, but they are for soothing irritated eyes and have made a heck of a difference to Nellys eye with her pollen issues . I got this product from Amazon a little while ago for Reuben when he had mucky but not infected eyes and they are brilliant . Pro Pooch x
