It seems like Reuben has been here for a lot longer ! He is coming up to three months old now and so far, so good ! Only the very odd accident indoors as he truly doesn't care what the weather is throwing at us and right now we are suffering gales and torrential rain . I take him for a 15/20 minute walk once a day, off lead with lots of recall and treats . He isn't straying too far from me ( yet ! ) but is showing an interest in the thickets either side of the trails, so I keep a very close eye on him . Mornings are manic play time , Nelly is just as keen as he is for fun and games , but given the size difference , I do step in when it gets too wild ! They go out into the big garden a couple of times a day, for a mad chase around but have to be supervised due to the ponds, he has been in three or four times already ! Reuben lives for food , he sits nicely but trying to get him to be patient around food is proving difficult , however he does know better than to try and steal from Nelly , she will not tolerate it ! Early evenings again are manic , roll on spring when my big pond has gone and I can let them into the big garden to run off some steam and also go for longer walks . He is an affectionate little ( well not so little ) puppy , loves a cuddle until his biting starts and then that's it , but the biting is not quite as bad as it was . He is still sleeping on the bed and frankly ,if this gives me a decent nights sleep, then I don't care as most nights he goes from 10.30 until 6.30 in the morning when hunger and a need to tiddle gets him up . My house looks like a bomb site , toys everywhere , plus bits of stuffing, but hey, trying to be house proud with a puppy is never going to happen , dust can wait ! x
