On Sunday I took Tess (one of my borrowed dogs) to her second show in Ashford, Kent. We scored 186 in both Level 1 and Level 2, which are qualifying scores but not 'excellent'. I nLevel 2 the score gave us 6th place. I was kicking myself as I made a stupid mistake in Level 2 and turned the wrong way at one sign, which cost us 5 marks - so if I hadn't made the error we would have got an excellent score.
Never mind, we had a lovely day meeting up with people I haven't seen for a while, as I didn't go to the northern shows this summer, and I enjoyed seeing their rounds. Level 6 was won by someone who has Cavalier rescues from Many Tears Rescue, fabulous little dogs having a great life.
In a few weeks I'm taking Tess for her first night away with me to a Somerset show, so I'll make sure I concentrate hard next time and don't let her down!
