I entered my friend's Goldie (Rajah) at level 1 and he did very well, scoring 204 (out of 210) on his first ever attempt at a whole round. Sadly not quite in the ribbons - joint 7th out of 27 entries - but such a promising start. I suspect we lost most of the marks on the bonus (the last exercise) as it's not correct because I hadn't had time to train it properly. I only see him once a week and he doesn't practise in-between visits so I was delighted with his round.

Molly and I had a go at level 4 but only scored 189. I was a bit surprised it was so low (though we did make a complete hash of the 360 left turn). It would be nice to have a garden big enough to set out a course as then we could just try again another day (Molly will only do a round once and I can't keep hiring the barn repeatedly). Though on the other hand I suppose it makes it more like real-life when you only get one chance to perform.

Anyway here are the two rounds:

I've received my score sheets which was very helpful as regards Molly's round, as I lost most marks (12! - 4 lots of 3) for failure to maintain pace, which I hadn't realised I had done. Consistency is the key in Rally, so whatever pace you start at that's the speed you must maintain. Looking at it again I can see we slowed a lot going round cones so I'll have to practise maintaining speed when doing this (or I might just do the whole of the next round at a slower pace :giggl: )
