Recommendations for retrieving for beginners?

[Emily_Babbelhund]

Hi all, I'm looking for a simple video or other type of tutorial to teach a retrieve. I know there are a ton of videos out there on YouTube, but does anyone have any recommendations? Carbon wants to chase things and pick them up, but then he gets the zoomies and deposits the item usually in some nettle patch where I can't get it back.

I realise I've made a mistake by being his pick-up human until this point, but I'd like to work on fixing that as my ball budget is getting silly.

Coco was already a keen ball fetcher, but we keep these activities separate,

I agree with @edzbird , it helped Cassie get the idea. She's much like Carbon in that the chase is everything but retrieving it is another thing! But we are making progress now.
