Millie was a stray , we adopted her from the shelter at Newquay when the dog warden handed her over . We took Sam to meet her , it was love at first sight and so a few days later, she arrived . Millie was a complex little dog with health issues , we knew about them when we decided to love her for whatever time she had left . It was plain that she had been abused , was terrified of feet and raised hands but she slowly began to trust , Sam became her mentor, he was so wonderful at helping little lost souls and showing them the way .
Millie had two wonderful years with us , longer than I had hoped for , we never knew her age exactly but our Vet said she was about ten years old when she came to live with us . Sam was bereft when she died , as were we , she was a character for sure, it is three years since we said goodbye to our little love xx
