Slow hair regrowth

Molly had her op to remove the lump back in March when a really large area on the side of her back was shaved. The hair still hasn't regrown properly - it covers the area (just) but is much thinner than the surrounding hair, although the area on her leg that was shaved to insert a canula has regrown completely. Do you think her hair will regrow in time? (I suspect Molly doesn't mind as she doesn't like being too hot!)

Does Molly have a double coat Joy ? Reuben doesnt , and his shaved area after castration grew back quickly whereas Sams took ages after his surgery and he had a double coat, just a thought x

It just takes ages….. Obi chewed a patch (ie hotspot) on his tail in March 2020 and it wasn’t fully grown back till March 2021.

I’m sure she’ll regain a full coat in that area in time

Hunter had a lump removed on his sude and it seemed to take about a year before it grew back. A shave on his leg and that grew back really quicHe has a double coat. It will grow back in time and for now she can enjoy not being too hot.

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. @kateincornwall Molly's coat is very odd normally - she has a thick, wavy double coat down the middle of her back but the rest of her coat is single and quite thin. I think this patch looks odd because it's right next to the thick band.
