I took the dogs for a walk before Wimbledon started , we went to a forest trail . Bimbling along , like we do , down the hill coming towards us were four French Bulldogs , followed by two ladies who were so busy nattering that they didnt seem to notice ( or care ) that their dogs were bowling towards us rapidly . Reuben is friendly with other dogs but can take them or leave them , so he ignored them and carried on plodding through the stream . Nelly got quite worried as the dogs came straight to me and started madly jumping around me and her and so she began to bark at them and cling round my legs . The two ladies then caught up and to my amazement said , looking at Nelly " There is no need for that noise , how aggressive , you will scare them to death " You know when you are speachless ??

Nelly is such a simple little soul , she has zero aggression , but I think her hearing loss coupled with some diminished sight, makes her afraid when she gets mobbed , poor little lamb xx
