It might not seem a very big achievement with Ripple, but compared to how he was a few months ago I'm really pleased with him. @Jacqui-S I think Paul's class is one we might not get expelled from .

Toffee had his test last Sunday, and did surprisingly well. He managed all the manoeuvres, even the off lead recall past a line of dogs and handlers. The stop whistle across the hall was a bit late (and sideways for some reason) but at least he managed it. We came second again in the final game of musical sit, so I was pleased with that.

We then had a taster of the novice classes, which was hilarious, we had to walk round the hall until the trainer shouted stop, then leave our dogs in a stay and race for a chair, sit down for two seconds then return to our dogs. As expected most dogs either ran after their owners or rushed off to play with another puppy.
I'm going to delay joining the novice class as the hall is 40 minutes drive across country and I'm a bit dubious about the weather over the next few months, but hopefully we can try it next spring.
