I couldn't believe my eyes when I walked down the stairs about an hour ago to see Hattie & Charlie watching something scuttle along the skirting boards. It looked like a mouse but as I moved closer I could see it was a beautiful tiny baby Wren 
It then proceeded to the utility room whereupon it hopped into Charlie's bed and he watched it with a goofy look on his face . I gently picked him up and took him into the garden where I could hear his Mummy calling. I placed him on the grass and can only hope for the best that his Mummy feeds him because he can't fly yet. He must have just hopped in the back door. Luckily I had treats in my pocket so fed Hattie & Charlie in the presense of the bird for being so gentle with this tiny lovely bird that we are very lucky to have had nesting in our garden for years.
