Yesterday , when Steve came to pick up my old laptop , Reuben barked , growled, hackles up , not like him at all . Thankfully Steve has dogs and ignored him but it quite upset me until I realised that he has not been used to anyone coming into the home for months , meeting them outside is fine but he didnt like this at all . Today , Steve came back , I was going to put Reuben behind bars but decided that this would give out the wrong messages to him , and after the first bark , he was wagging his tail and then licked him , phew ! These dogs suffer the shielding as much as we do , I must try to invite a few men round

When my mum popped over before our most recent lockdown, Ella was like a puppy! She barked like made, jumped up at mum (who basically invited Ella into a big bear hug ) and then did zoomies around the house before finding a toy to shove at mum for the ten minutes!

Joy has got to the stage where she will come to a full halt in the street if she sees someone she thinks she might like to say 'Hello' to. She just lies down and refuses to move until she's had her bit of fuss. This can be with people we know but also with complete strangers. Fortunately everyone she has chosen so far has been happy to talk to her. I do think the isolation has affected her too. We're both used to socialising more than is currently sensible. Poor little girl!

Yes I agree with this. When we walk, I can see Red looking out for people (and dogs) she knows. She will also stop in her tracks. I feel bad really as often I move her on
